The first and oldest degree granting program in creativity studies in the world, the ICSC is located at Buffalo State College, part of the SUNY college system. The curriculum is based on the pioneering work of Alex Osborn and Sindey Parnes—two of the earliest proponents of creativity as a measurable and teachable phenomenon.
The Center attracts an international community of scholars, and is home to the world’s largest creative studies collection, housed at E.H. Butler Library.
The graduate level programs include a Graduate Certificate in Creativity and Change Leadership, and a Master of Science in Creativity Studies.
