Coming to our Senses: Healing Ourselves and the World Through Mindfulness, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D (Hyperion, 2005). Poetically written and thorough treatise on the importance of present-moment awareness. Includes lots of information about body/brain interactions and the role of the senses.
The Trance of Scarcity: Hey, Stop Holding Your Breath and Start Living Your Life, Victoria Castle (Sagacious Press, 2006). Illuminating and welcoming approach to the subjects of body awareness, somatics, and how to bring more ease and joy into your life.
Games for Actors and Non-Actors, Augusto Boal (Routledge, 1992) Classic text from a major theatre director, writer, theorist and teacher. Gives history of the development of his work with actors and non-actors, along with a rich resource of games and activities.
